Melissa worked as an interpreter for the Drug Enforcement Agency in New York while earning her degree in Human Resources.  After relocating to Central Florida, she acquired broad experience in all aspects of Human Resources and Employee Benefits management with corporations such as Boise Cascade and National Linen.

For 15 years prior to joining Lykes Insurance, Melissa was responsible for optimizing and implementing group benefits packages for employers across central Florida.

In her free time, Melissa—who is also a certified personal trainer—enjoys Bootcamp and participating in fitness competitions as both a competitor and a judge.
