2017 is the 10th year of the Lykes Insurance Learning Series: Excelleration™ and is brought to our community as timely education events to help businesses excel. With awareness comes opportunity for action.
Our next “season” is almost upon us, and the May Excelleration will focus on the timely topic of disaster preparedness. Tony Sadiku will bust some myths for us on the basics of tropical storms and what you need to know to prepare; prime storm concerns for Southwest Florida; evacuation issues; and expectations for 2017. Nick Renfro will then focus on the importance of a Business Continuity Plan (BCP) to help restore and keep critical business functions going within the first 72 hours of a disaster. You will learn the basics of how to create an effective BCP that can help ensure business survival.
Tony Sadiku is a Meteorologist & Reporter with Fox4 News where he strives to engage with the public to educate about weather safety. Tony graduated from the University of Florida and is a masters degree candidate in Applied Meteorology from Mississippi State University. Prior to working at Fox 4, Tony was a senior forecaster for WUFT-TV and WRUF-TV in Gainesville, Florida.
Nick Renfro,CNA Risk Control Representative. Nick started with CNA in 2015 as a Risk Control Representative providing risk control assessment, evaluation, consulting and technical support for prospective, new & renewal business. Nick is skilled in Construction Hazard Identification, Risk Management, Team Building, Data Analytics, & Safety Presentation. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Technology focused in Construction Management with a minor in Occupation Safety & Health from Pittsburg State University.
