This event will focus on the topic of Overtime Exemption Regulations of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA),   presented by Christine Sensenig, Esquire with the law firm of Hultman Sensenig + Joshi, P.A.  This module will develop the HR professional’s skills when presenting policies, organizational ethics, or any topic that has a direct impact on the mission, values, or strategic goals and objectives of a company. Learning topics will include:  Strategic planning for the new FLSA rules, new salary thresholds and how bonuses will impact the threshold. Discussion will include cost increases your organization could face along with strategies to consider to mitigate the risk.

Pending for 2 strategic credit hours for SHRM CP, SHRM SCP, PHR, SPHR, and GPHR.

Christine SensenigChristine Sensenig, a founding partner with Hultman Sensenig + Joshi, PA, graduated from the University of Florida Levin College of Law.  Christine has been in practice for over 20 years and has conducted many seminars on compliance with the myriad of laws affecting employers. Much of her expertise is focused on labor and employment law. She has handled agricultural law issues, wage and hour claims, class action defense, discrimination and harassment cases, EEOC charges, investigations, training of management and staff about respect in the workplace, employee separations, and coaching of employers through difficult days.
